Homeworking survey.

A large scale survey of home and teleworkers has been carried out by Enterprise Nation. The results are very interesting and confirm the views of the Homeworking-cafe.

Enterprise Nation reports that -

83% of homeworkers have a dedicated home office.

67% spend more money in their local community such as shops.

100% say they do more work when working from home.

The Homeworker-cafe are very interested in these results and would like to hear your views. We are particularly interested in the question of homeworking helping the local economy. Not that long ago people worked a few miles from their homes and lived in a very local community. Mass transport using cars started to break down the local community with people travelling many miles to work. This meant that a lot of the spending commutated with them. Homeworking appears to be bringing that spend back to the local community.
